Arts and Crafts at Picuris

Picuris was called by its neighbors “pikuria”, or “those who paint”.  They have a long history of creating beautiful arts, crafts, and pottery.  This tradition of artistry continues to this day, with the majority of their people participating in the creation of some form of art or craft.  The Gift Shops at the Pueblo or in the Hotel Santa Fe are where the arts, crafts, pottery and original paintings may be purchased.  For inquiries regarding any particular examples seen on the website please call the Hotel Santa Fe at (800)825-9876 and ask for the Gift Shop, or call Picuris Tribal Offices at (505)587-2519 and ask for the contact information for the artist.
